We are seeking a skilled Education Support Specialist to join our team in Northeast Los Angeles, working closely with K-12 students with special educational needs. As an Education Support Specialist, you will work alongside experienced teachers and support staff to provide personalized assistance to students, helping them to reach their full potential. Key Responsibilities:--- Assist classroom teachers in planning and delivering lessons tailored to meet the needs of students with special educational requirements. --- Work closely with students, providing one-to-one support and small group instruction to reinforce learning and promote academic progress. --- Collaborate with teaching staff to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that cater to the unique needs of each student. --- Support students with personal care and hygiene needs, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment. --- Utilize a range of strategies and resources to engage students and promote active learning, including adaptive technology and assistive devices. --- Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with parents, carers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless support for students. Salary: $20 - $23 per hour, paid weekly. Benefits include paid sick leave, 401K (certain eligibility criteria), and opportunities for professional development and growth. Requirements:--- High school diploma or equivalent. --- Professional proficiency in English. --- US Work Authorization (Zen Educate cannot provide sponsorship for an employment visa or relocation assistance at this time). Preferred Qualifications:--- Experience working with students with special educational needs. --- ParaPro Certification or similar. --- Past work experience in a school setting.
